Potty Training.

Those two words together will make any new mom squirm.

Unfortunately it isn’t an optional activity  in the world of mothering (darn it!).  So alas, it was time to potty train my oldest, Nora!

There are so many questions that I had about potty training (as I’m sure a number of you do too).  Do I go all out Potty Training Boot Camp style?  Or do I take a more laid back approach to the whole potty training thing?  Should I let Nora use Pull-ups at night or ditch anything related to a diaper all together?  Do I use some sort of rewards system or just pray a special “You went pee-pee on the potty” dance will do?

Thankfully I knew that my first step in our potty training process had nothing to do with any of the above questions.

My first step was to get a potty – and I knew exactly which one I wanted.  I’d seen it in many local stores and secretly LOVE anything and everything made by Boon Inc (which happens to be headquartered right here in Chandler, AZ).

Here’s why I love it…

- It is not tacky looking.  Yes – I’m one of those people that just isn’t all that excited about buying a Disney Princess Potty Seat.  (sorry if you are)

- Side Storage. I love that this potty bench has two side storage compartments.  They are the perfect size for toilet paper, wipes, books and even a few toys.

- Step Stool. Close the lid of this potty bench and it turns into a large step stool.  Cool, huh?  Who knew a potty could have multiple uses?

- Shield for Boys. Although I don’t have boys (yet), the Boon Potty Bench comes with a soft deflector shield that flexes where it counts.

    We LoVe Boon and all their products! We have enjoyed the grass pad, ladybug bath storage, snack ball, boon spoons, toddler cup and would be thrilled with a Boon potty as well :-)

    How do you pick one favorite Boon Inc. product when the are all AWSOME??!! I constantly drool over my friends Boon Inc. highchair that she has for her son. She now has the Boon potty (same as you are giving away) which I would love to win!

    I love this! All boon products are great. ;) We have started introducing the potty & bought two already…neither are good for boys! When he pees it shoots everywhere!!! I hate cleaning up as I’m 8 1/2 months pregnant. This would be a HUGE blessing!

    I would love to win this Boon Potty Chair especially since I am hoping to potty train Cody before baby #2 arrives and we haven’t purchased one yet! Our favorite boon product so far has got to be our Boon Frog Bath Holder which holds all of his toys and stores shampoo etc we love it! :)
