Second string childcare showed up only 6 minutes before my appointment for a pedicure at 20Lounge. I passed the baton and rolled my eyes...late again.  Needless to say, I was harried, rushed and so NOT ready to relax and be pampered.

But there was no other option.

I walked into 20 Lounge and was surprised.

Surprised I wasn’t knocked over by the smell of acrylic. Or drowned out by the buzzing of a drill.

The chic decor was welcoming and the vibe was oh so chill.  I couldn’t help but relax.

I literally sunk into the chair and breathed deeply for the first time that day.

Brittney offered me a glass of champagne and began to work her magic on my toes. I could get used to this.

She explained some of the philosophy behind their concept. Turns out the missing acrylic smell and drills? Yeah, that’s on purpose. They have designed an experience that is both clean, gentle and offers the ultimate pampering experience.  The RITZ pedicure lasted almost  a full hour and I loved the sugar rub exfoliation most.  Not only are they a full nail bar, but the also offer facials and waxing.

I walked out of 20Lounge with beautiful toes, and a fresh outlook on my day.

    The last time I pampered myself was over a year ago. I went and got a pedicure after the twin were born. I was so happy to see my feet again!!

    The last time I pampered myself was well at least 2 years ago … Now, if I get a pedicure, it’s usually with a curious toddler on my lap, whose inquisitive little mind is asking 20 asking questions, so I don’t ever really get to relax.

    The last time I pampered myself with a pedi was honestly not too long ago.. I am 9 months pregnant & can’t reach my toes anymore!!

    The last time I pampered myself, was at the Agave Spa @ the Westin Keirland in August. It was for a bachelorette party otherwise I probably wouldn’t have splurged!

    The last time I was pampered was a pedicure I had with a friend a few weeks ago. That is about the extent of my pampering :)

    20 lounge sounds amazing! I would love to have them be my new pedicure salon. The last time I got my toes done was recently but I was somewhat disappointed when the lady took too much skin off one of my toes and made it feel like I had an ingrown toenail as a result. Ouch! I would love to give 20 lounge a try… I bet they are awesome!!!

    I was 7 months preggo. Full day at the spa….. Now if I get my nails or feet done (never at the same time) I am in such a rush becuase my dear friend Laurie is usually pushing the little one in the stroller waiting for me. I can’t bear to have her in the smelly pedi places! Good Job 20 Lounge!

    I don’t know if it classifies as “pampering” but I did manage to do my own toes Saturday, while the munchkin napped, and the husband watched football. Good thing they dried before she woke up and proceeded to walk on my feet :)

    I gave myself a sand pedicure while relaxing on the beach in San Diego, that is I rubbed my feet in the sand to exfoliate while pulling sand out of my toddlers mouth :)

    I pampered myself this past weekend with a little encouragement from my sister. She could see both of us needed a pick me up for our spirits, (me with the chaos of family and a young,talkative child) and her (a broken foot). So we went to the nail salon and each had a service done. Man do I miss the days of me time!
