Clickworthy | May 28 2011

At SMB we want to bring you information and inspiration from around the Valley and beyond. Here are some clickworthy links from around the web this week. Enjoy!

No, the world didn’t end last Saturday, and neither did the Clickworthy series! It just took a week off, and I’m back to web-surfing this week :).

Most “crafts” for the 3-and-under-set make me want to run for the hills. I have a pretty focused, mature preschooler and even she isn’t interested in sitting still long enough to glue A to B and then sprinkle it with C. But THIS is a great idea and looks really fun!

So Sarah Palin bought a house in Scottsdale. Here’s a non-political article with some of the details. It’s always interesting to see how our community is covered by a national news outlet (in this case, the NYT).

Do you like non-traditional baby names? One of my favorite bloggers did a fun post this week with tons of unique names.

OK this has been circulating the internet for over a month now, but if you haven’t read Tina Fey’s prayer for her daughter, you must. So funny.

Do you feel like I post a link to an article about sleep every week? You can correctly read into this that sleep is an issue in our house. :) This is a great article about how parents can set themselves up for better sleep, even when they little ones aren’t cooperating.

We have so many transplants to Scottsdale (welcome, new neighbors!), I thought this was a great essay on how moving across the country can create “parenting culture-shock”.

Please tell me you’ll be eating burgers this weekend. If you want some recipe inspiration (or just drool-worthy burger photos), here’s a bunch from The Pioneer Woman.

Happy Weekend, Valley Moms!

How do you do your online reading? Random surfing? Facebook and TwitterRSS or email subscriptions? Be sure to add Scottsdale Moms Blog to your regular reading, however you do it!

A perfect day for Sarah starts with coffee, ends with chardonnay and includes lots of baby giggles and sticky-fingered kid kisses in between. She loves high ponytails, showtunes and using her kids as an excuse to stay in and go to bed early, which she would do anyway. Sarah tweets early and often about the messy, tender, fun, funny and irreverent moments of parenthood at www.twitter.com/powersofmine.
